3 open houses scheduled week of Feb. 21
DENVER, Feb. 21, 2011 – The Bureau of Land Management and Western Area Power Administration are seeking public comments as part of the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement for the TransWest Express Transmission Project – a regional transmission system upgrade that will deliver 3,000 megawatts of clean energy from Wyoming to the Desert Southwest. The 725-mile proposed route for the TWE Project crosses primarily federal land.

Staff from the BLM, Western and TWE will be available at the public meetings to explain project details and gather information from interested individuals and groups.
In addition to the meetings, people also can send comments by mail and e-mail at TransWest_WYMail@blm.gov. To be considered in the Draft EIS, comments must be received by April 4, the close of the scoping period.
