RAWLINS, Wyo., June 2, 2025 – Seventeen volunteers associated with Power Company of Wyoming LLC and TransWest Express LLC joined Rawlins officials May 30-31 to complete dozens of spring cleanup and enhancement projects around Rawlins’ historic train depot and adjacent Depot Park.
Successful "Fabulous Friday" and "Super Saturday" projects included extensive weeding, collecting trash and recyclables, enhancing the "Kids Korner" music wall with new instruments, painting a creative crosswalk, hanging banners, planting flowers, assembling and installing new picnic tables, and welding a new shade structure.
It was the second year of participation in the Downtown Rawlins project days by Power Company of Wyoming and its construction contractor, MA Mortenson Construction, and by TransWest Express and its construction contractor Barnard Wilson Joint Venture. Volunteers from PCW/TransWest consultant SWCA Environmental Consultants also joined this year’s fun.
According to Downtown Rawlins, "It really does take a village, and Downtown is so appreciative for them giving back to the community."
