The Western Electricity Coordinating Councilís rating process ensures that new projects are properly integrated into the existing transmission grid to enhance the overall reliability of the grid. The WECC rating process for the TWE Project was initiated in 2008.

At the same time as submitting its Comprehensive Progress Report, TransWest Express LLC has requested that its transmission project be accepted to continue into Phase 2 of the Rating Review Process.
